J Rowland Broughton was raised in Lincolnshire and Nottingham during and just after the Second World War He was educated at Huntingdon School, Nottingham & District Technical College, Woolwich Polytechnic and the Royal College of Advanced Technology. Most of his working life has been spent in the design and development of special purpose machines for use in the Rubber, Plastics and Pharmaceutical Industries. During the past 14 years he has been employed at Nottingham Playhouse where he has developed his love of theatre, writing novels and the adaptation of Greek Tragedy. Over the years he had written Text Books and Manual and has developed programmes on the use of Bills of Materials Systems, Systems Controls and Engineering Control Systems. He is married with two adult children and he enjoys classical music, poetry and researching Medieval History.
