The novel tells the fictional account of two ex-specially trained military men, who together, competing in a challenge maneuver in Southern Jamaica in the early 1970s, are both struck and wounded by a lightning flash. They both survive their life-threating injuries and learn that they have been blessed with unique gifts to heal hurting and wounded people. The protagonist hero of the story is an ex-Navy Seal turned Catholic priest; the antagonist/villain is a middle eastern governmental lobbyist, who also happens to be a cultic leader for a historically factual doomsday cult, which has survived centuries into the modern era. The novel advances the power of the spiritual realm as a most vital perspective to meet, confront, and defeat the challenges of evil within these modern times, while touching on moral, racial, and ecumenical issues of timely concern.
