Das Bild der Welt in unserem Kopf ist nicht eindeutig, weil wir zwei Begriffe für ihre Beschreibung verwenden, die zweideutig sind, ein duales Wesen besitzen, Information und Masse. Eine Information beschreibt einerseits einen Zustand, ein statisches Sein, andererseits aber auch eine Zustandsänderung, ein dynamisches Werden. Beide Begrifflichkeiten sind komplementär, da sie nicht gleichzeitig am selben Ort existent sein können, aber beide sind für eine Beschreibung der Welt notwendig.Masse weist zwei unterschiedliche Eigenschaften auf, eine lineare Trägheit und eine nicht-lineare gegenseitige Anziehung oder Affinität. Während sich die Trägheit durch eine Gerade darstellen lässt, benötigt man für die Darstellung der Affinität eine Parabel. Obwohl es sich bei der Masse um eine Entität handelt (Monismus), weist sie dennoch zwei unterschiedliche Eigenschaften auf (Dualismus). Dieser Dualismus beschränkt die Exaktheit jeder physikalischen Theorie.
