When Athena June went to the bar that night with her best friend, she was only looking for a hookup. No one met her standards in the run-down place until a handsome stranger walked up. She couldn't believe someone that looked like him approached her. That's because he didn't. Caden Bishop came over to introduce her to his best friend. And boy, was he going to regret that.

What was supposed to be a one-night stand turned into a three-year relationship with Parker Bryant. It was all sunshine and rainbows until Parker changed and became toxic. But Athena was so in love with him that she ignored it all so they could be together.

Caden felt guilty for being the person responsible for Athena's unhappiness. He vowed to do anything and everything to help her gain her happiness back by doing certain things she wanted to do in her life but couldn't because of Parker, like skydiving and getting tattoos. All was going well until Parker said something that made Athena snap.
