The arithmography of scripture is the doctrine of the word established by numbers and the precision in which they fall into place. Such is the study of bible numbers and their application to the truth. We will look for the message revealed in each of these set of twos as God opens our understanding and blesses us with the deeper truths of his word. These numerical phenomena thus prove the inspiration of the scriptures comes from the one who is, who was, and is to come.

The repetition of prophetic events through types and shadows is just another way God demonstrates his sovereignty. The significance of the word corresponds with the significance of the number of times it occurs. In one we have the promise and prediction and the other the performance and the fulfillment. First the type or the shadow then the reality and substance. This remarkable relationship between them proves its divine design and establishes the spiritual significance of the number. No scripture is to be interpreted without regard to the relation in which it stands to the other parts. Not only does one scripture support and illuminate another but very often one passage supplements and augments another. This is written to all who will believe with the purpose of leading men to Christ, because everything in the gospel illustrates and demonstrates his providence.
