I have tried to poetically describe how some of the events in my life have made me feel. While glancing at an old photograph of my parents I remembered how much in love they were all the years they were together so I fondly wrote the poem, "In a Field of Daisies". Happily, this poem was made into a country and western song in the later part of the 1980's.
I have lost my son Chris at a tender age of twenty-three and many other family members. I have sat and expressed the deep sadness these events have given me. Birthdays, anniversaries, and most anything that puts smiles on people's faces also puts a pen in my hand and a sense of fun in my mind. These days, if I am not writing a poem someone will ask me to!
