ALWAYS RETURNING
Description
How do we tune in more fully, more consistently, to that which we already know?
- We need something to draw us inward. A place or a situation, an intuitive knowing. A captivating vista that silently tugs at the senses - at the soul. Tapping into her geographic and spiritual roots, the author gently, but precisely, draws out the wisdom of place.
Always Returning, an insightful and essential guide, imparts a powerful message of awareness, survival, and personal growth. The prairie landscape, like most far-reaching, compelling landscapes, invites contemplation and reflection. "We're always returning, coming back, coming round, as our perceptions ripen: as we gather the delicate strands of our lives time and time again." But seeing deeply into our lives begins within ...
Much more than current events, sensational headlines, controversy and conflict, and interminable, mostly distracting, news bulletins, on a spiritual plane, we are the open space of the prairies, the artistic stretch of silvery blues overhead. "Each page nudges us toward greater self-understanding... ." --Holly Weiss, Crestmont
Wisdom isn't a fancy paradigm that few will ever find. Rather, it's found within when we explore the deeper aspects of life. Always Returning makes this critical connection with compassion, hope, and empathy.
This book is the 15th anniversary edition of Where the Heart Resides: Timeless Wisdom of the American Prairie.
