Quando mi guardo allo specchio vedo solo l'immagine sbiadita di me stesso o un fantasma in un castello medievale o sono io quello che volevo e desideravo: una fede ed un altare? Eppure, mi dico, sono sempre io, o ciò che resta di me. Ripenso agli anni passati e ancora non capisco, non riesco a comprendere in cosa ho sbagliato o fatto bene. Ombre nere ricoprono il mio viso o una grande luce lo riflette nel mare? Sarebbe potuto essere tutto diverso, ma evidentemente questa è la mia storia. Portare nel mio cuore un simile peso fino alla morte o gioire di quello che sono? Ricordo ogni istante le immagini di invidia e di guerre di lotte e distinzioni di potere e di abbracci, non riesco a non pensarci. È quasi una tortura. Non passa istante che io non ricordi tutte le volte che ho pensato finirà tutto questo? Ogni volta mi risveglio in un posto differente. Questo è un racconto che vorrei regalare a tutte le persone che cercano sempre di fare soldi, che lottano per un posto di prestigio, che assaltano il tempo senza mai pensare che forse il tempo che noi cerchiamo è qui, è gratis, basta solo aprire il nostro cuore a tutto quello che di straordinario abbiamo intorno.
