Алекса́ндр Грин (настоящая фамилия — Грине́вский; 11 [23] августа 1880, Слободской, Вятской губернии, Российской империи — 8 июля 1932, Старый Крым, СССР) — русский писатель-прозаик и поэт, представитель неоромантизма, автор философско-психологических, с элементами символической фантастики, произведений[7]. Начал печататься в 1906 году, всего опубликовал около четырёхсот произведений[8][9].

Создатель вымышленной страны, которая благодаря критику К. Зелинскому получила название «Гринландия». В этой стране происходит действие многих его произведений, в том числе самых известных его романтических книг — романа «Бегущая по волнам» и феерии «Алые паруса».

Aleksandr Stepanovich Grinevsky (better known by his pen name, Aleksandr Grin), August 23, 1880 – July 8, 1932) was a Russian writer, notable for his romantic novels and short stories, mostly set in an unnamed fantasy land with a European or Latin American flavor (Grin's fans often refer to this land as Grinlandia).
