Description
*The deluxe edition comes with a special cover, gold foil, and printed edge design*
The final book in a spicy and suspenseful "why choose" romance series from TikTok sensation Tate James, perfect for lovers of spice, suspense, dark academia, and morally gray love interests.
Dear Reader,
I've spent too many nights caught between reality and nightmare, each bleeding into the other like a twisted dream I can't wake from. The Devil's Backbone Society continues to host our deepest terrors.
The weight of betrayal crushes me, pressing down on my chest, bitter and suffocating. I don't know what would be worse: losing the ones I love, the ones who have become my anchors, or losing myself entirely.
In the end, is there even a difference?
Delicious tropes:
Dark academia vibes
Why choose/reverse harem
Enemies to lovers
Secret society
Taboo romance
Morally gray love interests
Parties, power games, and twists galore
Readers are devouring Devil's Backbone:
"James drew me in with her words and then her storytelling skills had me devouring every page. Dear Reader was filled with mystery, angst, sizzling scenes and then that ending!! Can't wait for book 2." - USA Today Bestselling Author Leigh Rivers
"This might end up being my favorite Tate James series. I devoured this book as soon as I got it."- ★★★★★ Goodreads review
"I don't know if I've ever been THIS invested in fictional characters. Ashley and her guys are giving me so much life, and I am loving all the why-choose deliciousness."- ★★★★★ Amazon review
