In 2007 hat sich die Veröffentlichung des Sozialwortes der Kirchen, „Für eine Zukunft in Solidarität und Gerechtigkeit" zum 10. Male gejährt. Beide Kirchen haben diesem Jubiläum keine große Beachtung zukommen lassen.Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft westfälischer Sozialpfarrer hat anlässlich des Jubiläums am Reformationstag 2007 mit Friedhelm Hengsbach SJ und Hartmut Przybylski eine ökumenische Zwischenbilanz zu 10 Jahren Sozialwort gezogen. Ihre beiden Vorträge ergänzt um Texte von Bernhard Emunds SJ, Wolfgang Belitz, Jürgen Klute, Hans-Udo Schneider zum Sozialwort sind in diesem Band dokumentiert. Der Dokumentation vorangestellt ist die Reformationspredigt von Uwe Hildebrandt, Pfarrer in der evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Gladbeck-Mitte. Die Veranstaltung war eingebunden in die Reformationsfeier der Kirchengemeinde Gladbeck-Mitte und fand im dortigen Bonhoeffer-Haus statt.
