Alex Avery, a career-driven, savvy-business consultant, and her daughter's father, Steven "Sway" McCoy, maintain a unique 'friends-with-benefi ts' relationship that suddenly comes to a halt after Alex is introduced to and immediately captivated by Derek Minor, a handsome, ex-thug turned legitimate businessman.
