Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Kunst - Allgemeines, Kunsttheorie, Note: 1,3, Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen (Kunsthistorisches Institut), Veranstaltung: Benjamin, Butler, Foucault & Co: KulturtheoretikerInnen und die Künste, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Begriff der Aura nimmt in Walter Benjamins Werk eine besondere Stellung ein, die gemäß kunsthistorischer Fragestellungen sowie ihrer kultur- und medientheoretischen Implikaturen zu problematisieren ist. Daher soll anhand einer kurzen Rekapitulation der Diskussion um den Begriff der Aura das kulturtheoretische Problemfeld angesprochen werden. Benjamins Betrachtung der Geschichte der Fotografie wird als Folie der Erörterung seines Kulturkonzept sowie seiner historisch-materialistischen Betrachtungsweise herangezogen. Dabei ist der Begriff der Aura trotz der konsistenten Formulierung der "fernen Nähe" immer wieder unterschiedlichen Bestimmungen unterworfen, die anhand einer Analyse von Sol LeWitts "Serial Project No.1 (ABCD)" (1966) angezeigt werden.
