Multivariateanalysis demonstrated that physico-chemical andmeteorological factors such as wind speed, watertemperature can influence the detection of VOCs insurface waters as well their productions duringseasons. While statitistical analysis with signaturesfrom the three potential sources highlighted theimportance of the microalgae signature in springwhile macroalgae and sediments dominated at othertimes. Short term variability in concentrations andfluxes was due to such factors such as tidal state,wind speed and seawater temperature.Concentrations ofVOCs are governed by external factors effecting longtime scale and factors having an effect on a daily base.
