New York, guardo come guarda un fotografo, affascinato da un' architettura che mi coinvolge fino all'inverosimile. Mi muovo senza aver pianificato le foto da fare, vivo in un sogno, i ricordi della mia infanzia riaffiorano, risento le voci ovattate dei parenti emigrati e i loro racconti, fisicamente sono presente, con la fotocamera, in quei luoghi evocativi, e le immagini viste nei film si riaffacciano nella mente, tutto comincia a prendere forma, a delinearsi, la sensazione che quei luoghi mi stavano aspettando per essere fotografati, diventa reale. In un attimo mi vedo bambino mentre guardo le strisce dei fumetti in TV Gulp, uno ricordo torna ben nitido..Inizio a fotografare.
