Zunächst richtet sich der Blick auf die theoretische Rahmung (2), in der unter anderem Definitionen und Ergebnisse durchgeführter Arbeiten aufgegriffen werden, um diese Arbeit in den Gesamtkontext einzuordnen. Es folgt der methodische Teil (3), welcher die Erhebungs- und Auswertungsmethode umfasst. Da aktive Athleten die erfahrene Weiterbildung nur schwierig bewerten können, weil sie sich noch mitten in ihrem Sportleben befinden und nicht mit ausreichend Abstand zurückblicken können, wurden im Rahmen dieser Untersuchung sechs ehemalige Leistungssportler interviewt. Als Erhebungsmethode wurde ein Experteninterview mit Leitfaden entwickelt, zur Auswertung diente die qualitative Inhaltsanalyse nach Mayring und ein damit verbundenes Kategoriensystem. Die aus diesem Prozess erhobenen qualitativen Befunde (4) werden sodann dargestellt, ehe eine Diskussion der Resultate (5) sowie ein kritischer Blick auf die Limitationen dieser Untersuchung folgen. Die Arbeit schließt mit einem Fazit (6) und einem Ausblick zu möglichen weiteren Forschungsfeldern (7).
