Le vocabulaire Copte et surtout le vocabulaire CiKam, cités par Obenga dans les chapitres II-III de son ouvrage "Origine Commune de l'Égyptien Ancien, du Copte et des Langues Négro-Africaines Modernes. Introduction à la linguistique historique africaine" (Paris, 1993), et par Homburger, dans le chapitre XII De l'Origine égyptienne des langues négro-africaines de son livre intitulé "Les Langues Négro-Africaines et les Peuples qui les parlent" (Paris, 1941), sont, à presque 98%, attestés dans le CiLuba. Le CiLuba est la langue principale de la Haute-Éthiopie et plus précisément des Royaumes de Matamba et de Kasanga-Kasanje. Elle est aujourd'hui parlée par plus de 25.000.000 des Congolais et comprises à plus de 70% en Zambie, Malawi, Tanzanie, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Mozambike, une partie du Kenya, de Zimbabwe, de Botswana, de la Namibie et de l'Angola.
