The Rebirth of a Lost Poet

Doug brushes the dust off his notebook with his second book of poetry "The Rebirth of A Lost Poet". This book discusses love, relationships, news & events, and struggles at a very descriptive and intriguing level. His dedication poem "You Inspire Me" displays his appreciation for being inspired by the invaluable gift of being in love and having his heart touched in a way we all wish for once in our lives. Doug's thoughts explain how the most precious things in life touch a person in that exceptional way that can never be bought or replaced. Doug's creative way of describing a romantic scene on the beach is revealed in "Continuously", while taking romance a step further with his sensual and soothing poem "Let Me In". In his poem "AmBushed", he addressed the tragedy of September 11, 2001, and the thoughts that were running through his mind as it transpired. Worldly possessions such as money, cars, houses, and jewelry are fine, but the feeling you get from touching someone's heart or sharing that bond of true love is priceless and will never go out of style. The Rebirth of A Lost Poet will encourage a person to follow one's heart in regards to pursuing happiness because life is too short to let something you treasure slip away.
