Calamity strikes the lives of twins Gracie and Ben Chambers after their parents are suddenly killed in a devastating car accident. The twins find solace in each other in order to cope with their tragedy, but as they journey into adulthood, the twins must come to terms with their misfortune in order to experience the world away from the town in which they were brought up. Gracie opts for a huge change when she leaves the comfort of her small Baltimore home to study her greatest passion, Oceanography, across the country in San Diego. Although she is nervous for such a drastic lifestyle change, her transition is ameliorated as her vivacious roommate Courtney quickly encourages her to take advantage of her new freedom and appreciate her college experience. As Gracie's life transforms into that of a college coed, she begins to learn much more than just her studies. One night at a party, Gracie meets the enchanting yet eerily mysterious Micah who reveals secrets that will shatter the life she once led. Through this journey, Gracie learns life lessons about the world she thought she knew, the extraordinary power of love, and the unavoidable truths that have ignited a supernatural battle between good and evil.
