Roger's experiences across his career serving in rural communities across the state of New South Wales tells many stories, including those entwined with the personal impact on a country cop and his family. Along with a sprinkling of management decisions which seemed pointless at the time, the emotional and spiritual limits to fulfill his obligations to his organisation and communities impacted him heavily, to the point of contemplating suicide.
