The Pie Maker's Apprentice

Fourteen-year old Seraphina Lincoln lived a perfectly predictable life before she gained a stalker, found a body, and learned to manipulate the future. She uncovers family secrets and is forced to choose - claim her legacy or lose everything.
Sera's mother upends their predictable life in the desert to head to a small town for the summer. Sera swears she's been followed to their new cabin in the woods. When a house burns down the same night someone is lurking in the forest, she confronts her fears to learn she can influence the future through a genetic quirk. Glowing handwriting and an ethereal house cat are just the beginning, if she's anything like her ancestors, Sera can bind time.
When a challenge to the winnings of a bygone poker game threatens the community, Sera must learn how to untangle family ties and wield her gifts in time to save the town - and the people - she's grown to love.
