Jerome, a Dutch artist of the 'Middle Ages', has endured almost half a millennium in a purgatory of his own making, when he becomes aware of the revolutionary experiments of Lucy, a maverick physicist and her teenage colleagues, Jack and Megan.Realising Lucy holds the key to his resurrection, he seizes the opportunity to return to his hedonistic, creation; 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' by materialising the terrible demons portrayed in his paintings and taking Megan's baby sister hostage.
