This was the revenge reserved for women who had slept with Germans during the war. The first fourteen (14) pieces are about: Growing up in the Old Country. Included are: Stories about Patriots and cowardly Collaborators, accidental Death in the Boxing Ring, adventures in the Military Police, etc.The 12 stories in Part II are about: Encounters in Canada, i.e. Dying of Thirst in the Brewery, Quebec's ludicrous Language Laws, On becoming a Grandfather, Remembering Mordecai Richler, etc.The four pieces in Part III recount the author's return trip to Europe in December 2005. It includes a short stay in Paris, several weeks in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and a one day visit to Bastogne, Belgium, to see once more the famous war monument, The Mardasson.
