This story was developed when my 3-year-olddaughter Ava was diagnosed with a rare kidney cancer.A few weeks into treatment, her hair began to fall outand she wanted to shave it off herself! It made herhappy at first but she was afraid to face her friends.Together, we made up the story about the Bald Princess,which entertained her throughout her year-longtreatment.Our dear friend Brian Watts created the illustrationsthat perfectly fit our vision. We hope this story touchesyour heart, and is helpful to children that you love.Thanks to a new research study, our very own baldPrincess Ava is now a healthy 11-year old girl!
