The Adventures of Harold from the Hood: When I Feel So Annoyed

Join Harold the purple snail and his friends Benny the beetle, Andy the ant, and Lily the ladybug as they navigate the challenging feelings that come with disagreement and frustration. When the friends can't decide which game to play on a beautiful sunny day, Harold finds himself feeling very annoyed but learns that these feelings are perfectly normal and manageable.

This engaging social skills story teaches children valuable lessons about emotional regulation, problem-solving, and cooperation. When Harold feels overwhelmed by frustration, he learns to take three deep breaths and work with his friends to find a solution that makes everyone happy. Through creative problem-solving and teamwork, the friends discover that rolling dice can help them fairly decide the order of games, ensuring everyone gets to play what they want.

Perfect for children ages 4-12, this beautifully illustrated book addresses common childhood experiences with empathy and practical solutions. Young readers will learn essential social skills including patience, turn-taking, de-escalation techniques, and collaborative problem-solving. The story reinforces that feeling annoyed is okay, but it's how we handle those feelings that matters most.

Part of the award-winning Harold from the Hood social skills series, this book provides parents, teachers, and counselors with an excellent tool for discussing emotions and conflict resolution with children. The relatable characters and situations help children understand that working together creates better outcomes than acting out in frustration.
