The Adventures of Detective Robert Benson is a fictional novel of the life of Robert Benson and the adventures he had after he retired from the police force. After his wife passed away, to keep busy he started to write a novel around all the action he had during his time in the police force. However, his previous boss Captain Wilson did not let him retire in peace. He was asked to come back as a part time detective when his keen ability to investigate a crime was needed. Robert couldn't resist the challenge of solving a crime. He was called mostly when a murder was committed. Robert was good in finding evidence that led to finding the culprit. Several assignments he was given, led to releasing innocent persons who were charged with the crime. One of these cases involved a woman who was attacked and robbed. The attacker hit her so that she lost her memory. Robert spent much time trying to find who she was and who attacked her. He took her home with him and gave her a spare bedroom next to his daughter's room. While trying to find who she was he fell in love with her. That was the main problem he had. He didn't know if she was married and had a dozen kids. He solved several other crimes while they searched for her identity.
