Greek goddess Athena resides in Athens, trapped in a feline body after a disastrous magical transformation.
Athena is visited by Norse deity Odin - also in cat form - who warns her that his brother Loki has a network of spies to steal artifacts for global domination.
When one of Loki's agents-a homicidal dwarf named Haldred-is tasked with stealing a mysterious painting from a fortified monastery in central Greece, Athena recruits a spy of her own: a feral cat she calls Agent 73.
Haldred liberates the painting, tracked by Agent 73, but it falls into the hands of the shadowy Collector, who makes an astonishing discovery that explains why Loki was so desperate to acquire it.
But, thanks to Agent 73, Athena is watching and realizes the painting could hold the key to restoring her original form, and give her ultimate power over the immortal world.
