The Abbot of Morpheus is an interesting and provocative conversation between an Abbot and a Seeker. The Seeker's quest to find meaning in life leads him to meet the Abbot of Morpheus in a dream world called Morpheus. The conversation delves into many various aspects of life and the human condition. It explores themes like truth, love, God and the Divine, religion and dogmas, soul and eternity, Existence, belief and believing, free will, desire, choice, good and evil.

It also touches on the Devil, Oneness and separation, equality of people, cooperation and unity, purpose and meaning of life, Heaven and Hell, Judgement, faith, afterlife, birth and death, slavery, society and culture, poverty, intelligence, and intellect, alien life, and superintelligence, ego, or false self, etc. The author, cohesively, discusses the meaning, correlation, and cause-effect of the themes amply enough to be understood.

It offers its readers a spellbinding experience; stoking questions of great concern for everyone. It is written in prose poetry and takes the format of a long colloquy between the Seeker and the Abbot of Morpheus. The conversation takes place in a hypothetical place in the Seeker's dream called the inner court of Morpheus and is meant to answer his questions about his life on Earth from the perspective of the Abbot of Morpheus.

The author had settled on the use of a dreamscape as a setting for the conversation because he wanted to underscore the message that is being communicated in the book. A journey inward into the human psyche to understand oneself is desperately needed in the world which is sorely divided along many contentious lines. The dreamscape as used in this book can be seen as a metaphor for a deeper state of consciousness where it is possible to come into direct knowledge of what the human being is through observation and self-inquiry. It encourages conscientious and curious people to self-inquiry to understand themselves and their equality with the rest of the world and express the same in love and unity.

The Abbot of Morpheus seeks to demystify spirituality and to promote self-inquiry, equality of humanity, love, and unity towards a future of intelligent self-realized people living for the progress of the world. It underscores division at the very root of the individual, as the primary source of conflict between people, religions, nations, and indeed races. The book is the culmination of many years of the author's self-inquiry and contemplation on extensive material on a wide range of spiritual topics and life.

But who is Gerfarer? Gerfarer is the pen name of the author. He is a middle-aged male, who lives at the intersection of certain coordinates on the globe. He drinks tea with a few squeezes of lemon and three sugars in the morning and listens to podcasts before going to sleep in the night. He breaks down everything and then helps you to rebuild it back together and encourages you to discern for yourself. Gerfarer offers a fresh line of questioning and answering which would be interesting to curious people who are seeking liberation.
