Zunächst wird das Stufenmodell der Schreibentwicklung nach Valtin dargestellt und anschließend auf die beiden Lernertexte angewendet. Nachfolgend werden die Lernertexte graphematisch analysiert, wobei insbesondere das phonographische Prinzip, das silbische Prinzip und das morphologische Prinzip im Vordergrund stehen. Abschließend werden Merkmale von Textualität nach Hausendorf und Kesselheim beschrieben und verschiedene, bedeutsame Zeitschriftenaufsätze zur Didaktik der Orthografie vorgestellt.
