Raumplanung, Note: 1, Philipps-Universität Marburg (Fachbereich Geographie), Veranstaltung: Sozialräumliche und ökonomische Fragmentierung in Großstädten, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der Literatur wird oftmals von „der nordamerikanischen Stadt“ gesprochen. Dabei wird zumeist völlig außer acht gelassen, daß in Nordamerika neben den us-amerikanischen Städten auch in Kanada Agglomerationen existieren, die sich bezüglich der Struktur sowie weiterer Merkmale deutlich von den us-amerikanischen Städten abheben. Dieses Referat soll somit zeigen, daß es falsch ist, den generalisierten Begriff „die nordamerikanische Stadt“ zu verwenden.
