"Slam Poetry - Nachhut der Moderne" lautet eine 1997 verfasste Magisterarbeit, die 2002 erstmals als Buch erschien. Diese erste Forschungsarbeit über Slam - eine internationale Bewegung literarischer Off-Szenen - arbeitet mit germanistischen und kulturwissenschaftlichen Methoden und berührt auch Themen wie Avantgarde, Beat Generation, Underground und Popliteratur. Kommunikationstheoretische und kulturanthropologische Ansätze bilden die Basis für eine Interaktionsästhetik, mit der historische, strukturelle und ästhetische Aspekte des Slam analysiert werden. Eine Grundthese der Arbeit lautet, dass der Slam strukturelle Ähnlichkeiten mit den Avantgarden aufweist, jedoch ihre Verfahren in anti-avantgardistischer Absicht einsetzt. Entstanden aus Recherchen in der Slam-Szene ist die Arbeit selbst Ausdruck einer kollektiven Leistung. Vom selben Autor erschien im Passagen Verlag im Jahre 2005 die Essay-Sammlung "spoken word & poetry slam. Kleine Schriften zur Interaktionsästhetik" sowie 2009 der Gedichtband "szene.leben - poems und performance.
