Description
Kidnapping should be a Deadly Sin...especially if you lose your heart.
Malcolm Sinclair, former soldier, and mercenary has once more run afoul of the authorities. He needs a quick escape back to London which Lord Buckmore is only too happy to provide, if only Malcolm will perform a small task. Kidnap the young lady Buckmore wishes to wed from her overzealous, overprotective cousin.
Seems simple enough.
Miss Alyss Brooks is known for her scathing tongue, her ability to wield a parasol most proficiently, and her absolute dislike of her cousin's suitor, Lord Buckmore. When Alyss is mistaken for her cousin, she sees an opportunity to confront the vile young lord once and for all.
Instead of vengeance, Alyss finds herself stranded far from London with no way home. A thunderstorm makes matters worse. She's robbed. Worst of all, the only man willing to offer any assistance is her kidnapper, Sinclair.
Can Alyss risk spending the night trapped with her handsome abductor? How can she not?
