Since You Didn't Ask

Our mainstream information landslide is infested with wild expectations of excess.  We are constantly told to have all of our dreams come true.  How about becoming moderately successful?  Why don’t we start with three dreams and see how that goes?  We are all told to give 110%.  How about 70%?  Our narrow perception of succeeding consistently points to the top three billionaires, even though the seven hundredth richest person in the country is quite comfortable.  The airwaves and bookstores are choked with sure-fire solutions to becoming your own boss and achieving this goal.  However, most business books are skewed to the fantastic, speaking of immediate pushbutton success.  Although the guidance offered is probably sincere, it's usually billed as if you're off to see the Wizard.

You yourself have likely pursued many endeavors.  We have all tried businesses, investments as well as various leisure activities. We have all had failures.  As a group we love the “fail to succeed” mantra which I find campy at best.  All of us would like to avoid the failures and move to the success more quickly.  I would like to save every reader five years of wasted time that has surely been squandered due to misconceptions and lack of information.  One well-placed suggestion can often redirect a commonly held belief and shorten the time to the reward by years if not decades.  “Since You Didn’t Ask” is a funny, introspective, amusingly absurd life changing business and life guide.
