Selfish Girl

When thieves are praised for the power they've stolen, balance needs to be restored.

Life in Crimshade has been one disaster after another, especially when the medicine needed to heal the prisoners is stolen by the king's soldiers. But Zara isn't about to take the blow lying down. She goes with Connery and Bodhi to plead with the Highest Mage for help, but finds the mysterious destination to be even more harrowing than the uphill journey leading them there.

Suddenly there is stolen magic, wrongfully incarcerated citizens, and an island in need of justice for the rogue trio to tackle. When the rules of magic go up in smoke, Zara knows that the fantasy world she loathes is about to get a whole lot worse. With the survival of a dying people weighting her shoulders, Zara will not stop until every last person in Crimshade is free...

...even if it kills her.

This is the second in a six-part inclusive LGBTQ+ fantasy romance series written by USA Today Bestselling Author Mary E. Twomey.
