Mai come nel nostro tempo, dominato da Internet, la cultura ha assunto un valore fondamentale. Dopo un lungo saggio, dedicato alla nozione di cultura nella riflessione di Tullio De Mauro, di cui ho analizzato le due accezioni del termine, la mia analisi s'incentra proprio su come la cultura e il suo uso stiano cambiando nell'era di Internet. La rivoluzione digitale ha modificato radicalmente il suo significato. La cultura, in questo nuovo contesto planetario, si va configurando sempre più come un "sapere a portata di mano", che non si traduce nell'avere in mano il sapere. In questi saggi brevi mi occupo anche del passaggio dalla cultura di massa alla cultura della moltitudine. Senza tema di essere smentito, credo di essere stato il primo ad osservare e a descrivere questo passaggio cruciale, segnato anzitutto dall'emergere dei newmedia.
