The resident ghost is Sabine Wynter, an abused wife who took refuge in the house after the Civil War.

And then there is the greater mystery of the problem grave in the hillside cemetery overlooking the property, and why someone is still placing fresh flowers on Sabine’s grave nearly a hundred years after her death.
