Description
This book is a historical novel by the German author Hermann Oesterley, first published in 1898. The novel takes place in ancient Rome during the period of the city's legendary foundation. It follows the adventures and struggles of the young shepherd Romulus, who rises to become the founder of the Roman Republic.
