Myriads of factors influence the psyche & personality of adolescents at this transitional period & one such great influence is that of the mother.Presently,the change in the role of mother not only as a'caretaker'but also as a'breadwinner' has some important implications for child development.This book,therefore distinctly deals with the impact of maternal employment on the cognitive,conative & affective aspects of adolescent personality by comparing the adolescents of working mothers & housewives.As not only the employment of mothers but also their occupational profiles have a differential impact on their children,the book throws light on this aspect too.The authors hope that this book would be useful for parents,especially mothers.This book would also serve as useful guide for teachers,counselors & researchers.
