Devine Jones loves the stage. The costumes, the lights, the audience, the applause. So, when she lands her dream job as the drama teacher and creative director extraordinaire, at Primrose High School she's excited to carry on the legacy of dramas and musicals coming from their small-town stage.
Jaxon Isley, former high school baseball star turned Minor League Baseball player, turned successful Construction Company owner returned to his hometown of Primrose to start his life again. Divorced and scorned by love, he is closed off to relationships and no longer believes in happily ever after.
When a chance meeting on a spring day brings these two opposites together with a stage worthy meet cute, Dee persuades Jaxon to help build the sets for the school's spring musical.
