Is life worth it after the world has ended?

Set in the faraway future where our world had come to a bitter end, we follow a young boy, Wyatt who has no memory of it. Living in solitude believing he is the last human alive, he finds himself questioning the point of living on.

The mystery of his origin begins in an abandoned school bus where he awoke only days after the world had perished. Left to his own devices for the next six years, he scavenges the ruins of man to begin a life alone. Until one fateful morning a message finally breaks through his receiver. With the promise of civilization, Wyatt prepares himself for the nightmarish journey to find humanity.

A vast and unforgiving desert crawling with mutants stand in his way. As Wyatt faces off the terrors of the world, he makes it through by the skin on his teeth. Not until encountering a towering behemoth who completely mutilates his right arm, the two fall unconscious after an epic battle and he finds himself awakened in an underground bunker with a new prosthetic arm. An arm designed by the man who rescued him, a man named Grim who then mentors Wyatt on how to use his newfound abilities.

Now with his new arm, Wyatt becomes a target with all eyes on him once reaching the city. An arm of which many secrets revolved around, some of which lead him to find out the truth behind his origin.

Wyatt's return to humanity will be his greatest struggle.

***TRIGGER WARNINGS***

Be advised that there is EXPLICIT content in this book. Suicide, depression, anxiety are all present in this novel. Be prepared for any triggers and suicidal thoughts that might arise in certain scenes in this novel. I have written this to be as relatable as possible. Please read the entire novel before stopping and letting anything get to you, just like in life: things do get better.
I am trying to achieve my dream to become a full-time writer so any and all reviews are immensely appreciated.
