Description

"Naked Run to Morning," the title feature in this collection, narrates an action-packed adventure that occurred in the summer of 1956 in League City, Texas. What started as a simple camping trip between three teenage boys turns to chaos as the night is interrupted by a chance encounter with an escaped convict. The boys face the most challenging and dangerous event of their lives.
Naked Run to Morning includes five additional short stories filled with action, adventure, and humor. In "Red, Right, Returning," a twelve-year-old boy escapes from his stepfather's island near Galveston, Texas. In a small row boat, he crosses a busy shipping lane in shark-infested waters in thick fog with his beagle, Woody. In the humorous selection, "Merchant Navy in the Head," a merchant mariner and a Navy man, both drunk, get into a scuffle in the ship's head.
A unique collection of both fiction and nonfiction stories, Naked Run to Morning provides tales of adventure while exploring the themes of courage, faith, and destiny.

William Sneed is retired from service in the United States Navy. He and his wife Charlotte, "Tootie," have been married for forty years and have three children and seven grandchildren.
