The year is 1750 A.D and the place is Tamil Nadu, one among the economically prosperous and culturally flourishing kingdoms of Southern India. 

It has been a little more than 100 years since the East India Company set foot on the Indian Peninsula. They are fast establishing but have not yet begun to "rule" India per se. Just imagine an alternate history, wherein the East India Company had been defeated and not allowed to rule India. 

Can you imagine the impact of the British Empire not expanding to rule their first and perhaps their crown jewel, the Indian subcontinent?

Can you imagine the inevitability of this alternate history, not just to India, but to the British Empire?

Can you imagine the repercussions this could have had to the entire world history if the British Empire was nipped in the bud itself?

Perhaps imperialism & subjugation wouldn't have thrived for 300 years.

Perhaps the two dastardly world wars wouldn't have occurred in the first place.

Perhaps India would have overtaken the western countries in becoming an economic powerhouse a 100 years ago.

The possibilities are countless! The alternate dimensions are breathtaking! 

This novel is all about dreaming up this very alternate history. The story never happened. But if it did, how would've it been? 

Would have the alternate history, for India, been more interesting if a warrior king from Tamil Nadu paved the path for a new future - both for India and the world?
