The problem is, Scarlet has no memory of her book or why she's written it. All she knows is she's recently awakened from a coma following a head injury and has absolutely no memory of her past.
All is not lost however. Scarlet learns that in the years leading up to her accident she was hard at work writing the story of her life and times, cajoled into doing so by the ghost of someone who was dear to her in life. My Ghosts At The Bottom Of The World is that story.
So it is that we read of Scarlet's life along with her, filling in her own backstory and that of her beloved country at the bottom of the world, New Zealand. We learn that through a series of brushes with the supernatural as a young girl, Scarlet is inspired to follow a career path whereby she can help those with their own paranormal issues.
Music plays a large part in Scarlet's Universe and literally soundtracks her temporal and emotional voyage through life. My Ghosts At The Bottom Of The World: Volume Two continues that voyage. Further volumes are on their way.
