Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Medienpädagogik, Note: 1,0, FernUniversität Hagen (Kultur und Sozialwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Modul 3: Gestaltung und Entwicklung von neuen Medien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Einen Podcast kann man als eine Art Radiosendung im Internet bezeichnen, wobei sich Podcasts mittlerweile nicht mehr nur auf Audio beschränken, sondern zusammen mit unterstützendem Bildmaterial als „Enhanced Podcasts" oder in Kombination mit Videomaterial als „Vodcasts" bezeichnet werden. Der Begriff Podcast ist eine Kombination aus dem Namen von Apples MP3-Player „iPod" und dem Wort „Broadcasting", wobei man sich in der Literatur nicht einig ist, wem die Wortschöpfung zugeschrieben werden soll (vgl. Bastiaens, 2011; Cruz & Carvalho, 2007; Schmidt, Ketterl & Morisse, 2007). Podcasts sind mittlerweile weitverbreitet und werden im Bildungsumfeld häufig eingesetzt (Bastiaens, 2011), was durch die Tatsache bestätigt wird, dass man im Internet schon nach kurzer Recherche Praxisberichte z.B. aus dem Geschichtsunterricht an Schulen in Portugal (Cruz & Carvalho, 2007), von der ETH Zürich (Reinhardt, Korner & Schiefner, 2008) und der Universität Osnabrück (Schulze, Ketterl, Gruber & Hamborg, 2007) findet.Im Folgenden widmet sich das erste Kapitel den Podcasts im Allgemeinen, d.h. es werden Vor- und Nachteile, Einteilung, Erstellung und Verbreitung sowie die sinnvolle Planung diskutiert. Das zweite Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit dem von mir erstellten Podcast „Marchtaler-Plan-Pädagogik in ihrer Ausprägung an den Privatschulen der Erzdiözese Salzburg", indem ich die Punkte aus dem Kapitel Planung ganz konkret an meinem Podcast bespreche. Im letzten Kapitel reflektiere ich Konzept und Umsetzung des oben angeführten Podcasts.
