Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Wissenschaftstheorie, Anthropologie, Note: 1,0, Universität Wien (Bildungswissenschaften ), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit setzt sich mit der aktuellen Bildungsdebatte um den Kompetenzbegriff auseinander, sowie der Erhebung desselben in international vergleichenden Schulleistungsmessungen. Zunächst wird auf verschiedene exemplarische Bildungs- und Erziehungskonzepte verschiedener historischer Epochen Bezug genommen, die in der aktuellen Debatte noch immer relevant sind. Anschließend wird auf die Grundlagen und Umsetzung von Bildungsstandards an österreichischen Schulen eingegangen, auf den zugrunde liegenden Kompetenzbegriff und dessen Facetten, sowie auf dessen Erhebung in Leistungsmessungen und deren Einschränkungen. Es soll dann versucht werden, mithilfe eines mixed methodischen Ansatzes ein Forschungsinstrument zu entwickeln, welches sowohl den Wissens- als auch die motivationalen und volitionalen Aspekte von Kompetenz empirisch erfassbar machen soll. Dieses Instrument wird anschließend einem Praxistest unterzogen und dessen Ergebnisse werden abschließend dargestellt und analysiert.This thesis aims to outline the current debate concerning the educational concept of literacy and its empirical assessment. Based on various historical concepts of education this rather intensely discussed topic forms the theoretical frame of this work. In addition the foundation and implementation of standards of education of the Austrian school system will be illustrated, as well as its central concept of competence with its different aspects. It will then be tried to develop a scientific instrument to assess both factual knowledge and motivational and volitional aspects of competence using a mixed methods approach. This will be tried in the field and the results will be presented.
