All but one of those aboard died, and it was the death of William Adelin that led to a succession crisis in England that threw the country into civil war and a time that would be known as the Anarchy between 1135-53. Contents include: “Ballad of a Ship, By Edwin Arlington Robinson”, “The White Ship, By Dante Gabriel Rossetti”, and “He Never Smiled Again, By Felicia Hemans”.
