Un libro che sa di Liguria, ma anche di Calabria. La maggior parte di questi racconti di Danilo Sidari sono ambientati a Taggia, uno stupendo borgo medievale del ponente ligure. È anche un manuale di storia della cultura materiale questa raccolta di racconti, che descrive come si pesca e come si manovra un' imbarcazione, poi la coltivazione delle campagne, delle terrazze, le cosiddette fascie. Nelle pieghe della narrazione si possono scovare persone che animavano quel mondo in fermento negli Anni Settanta, e anche punti di ritrovo. Anche questi racconti intrisi di nostalgia ha messo in moto un doppio straniamento, ora è un italiano dalla doppia identità che vive a Sydney e guarda all' Italia tutta dal Paese che più di ogni altro è ai suoi antipodi. Un' operazione complessa, e difficile, direi riuscita nella maggior parte di questi racconti. (Laura Guglielmi.)
