Je déteste Piper, ma voisine.
Elle lève toujours le nez quand on se croise dans le couloir, me dit de baisser le volume de la musique alors que je l'entends à peine, trouve quelque chose qui cloche chez moi et me fusille du regard dès qu'elle en a l'occasion. C'est comme si elle était offensée par l'air que je respire.
Ça ne devrait pas m'exciter, mais ça m'excite.
Surtout qu'il est difficile d'ignorer à quel point elle est belle, comment ses yeux s'illuminent quand elle est vraiment heureuse, ou comment elle essaie de masquer sa tristesse par la colère.
Je déteste Piper, putain.
Surtout parce qu'elle m'ignore.
Alors je fais ce que tout homme mature et respectueux de lui-même dans la trentaine fait quand il est attiré par quelqu'un qui ne lui accorde pas un instant de temps : je l'énerve, puis je flirte avec elle, puis je l'invite à sortir.
Piper pense que je plaisante.
Elle ne dit jamais non, elle me regarde de haut en bas et me tourne le dos avec un air moqueur.
