Se trata de un breve análisis de la falta de valores morales y éticos en la España actual de acuerdo a una tesis que defiende el autor: nuestros orígenes católicos que han influido y lo siguen haciendo sobre todos los órdenes de la vida, como en la cultura, en la religión, en la política, los negocios, etc. Para mitigar su falta en unos casos o ausencia en otros, a parte de un severo cambio en la conciencia individual y colectiva, bien haríamos en sacudirnos la moral católica-apostólica-romana y si acaso dejarnos infectar por otra nueva moral -más ecuménica (Weltethos), en el sentido del célebre filósofo y teólogo alemán Hans Küng que fue expulsado en su día de la curia romana por sus críticas al catolicismo. En suma, España debería ser menos católica y más luterana (protestante) para salir de la crisis, abordar los casos de corrupción y afrontar el futuro.
