El presente libro se ocupa del estudio de los organismos creadores de la Lex Mercatoria, tales como la la Comisión de las Naciones Unidas para el Derecho Mercantil Internacional (UNCITRAL), el Instituto de Roma (UNIDROIT) y la Cámara de Comercio Internacional, que han concebido un orden jurídico supranacional para hacer posible el desarrollo dinámico y ordenado del comercio internacional, y así mismo se hacen destacar los principales instrumentos por ellos creados, tales como la Convención para la Compraveta Internacional de Mercaderías, los Principios para la contratación internacional, las Leyes Modelo para la conciliación y el arbitraje así como en materia de comercio electrónico y los INCOTERMS, además de la Ley Modelo y la guía jurídica para la redacción del contrato llave en mano, entre otros, e incluye un aparato crítico que da soporte doctrinario al estudio realizado.
